Please tell me you aren't running a Fram filter... Those are the worst there is.

Look at a Wix or a Toyota filter. I won't run anything but. Fram, you are one step off no filter. Friend of mine has lost 2 engines due to Fram filters imploding in cold weather.

Not true at all....the Xtended Guard Fram filter is one of the best/stout filters made. Now, I wouldn't use anything else from Fram, but it's well known that the filter he listed is very stout. It's a 10k filter, with syn. media and metal mesh screen to trap particles. It's very similiar to how the K&N filter is made.

I'll dig around, the last fram filter I saw open was scary. I don't think which model was specified. I have heard the race filters (HP series) are good, but I don't think they filter near good enough for daily street driving.

I use Fram on my Honda and Lexus Filter on my Lexus.
