I think with all the heat buildup in the engine compartment you'd have all kinds of issues, ie like bubbling, peeling, fading. IMO, I wouldn't do it. But if you're brave and want to test it out for sure, you can bite the bullet and be the first to do it and see what really happens.

Agreed. You would get massive shirking, warping, peeling, and cracking from the heat of the engine bay.

Is there any vendors that sells replacement carbon fiber parts for the second gen GS?

I really want to replace all plastic pieces with CF. Seen a few cars w/ them, but not sure where the owners got it from.

You can get it "dipped" or hydrographics. I got mine done in carbon fiber and looks good w no heat issues. I also did my wood pieces, center console, vents, etc in black wood

thanks for the feedback - got pictures? how long ago you had it done, any cracks, bubbles?

also, how much did it cost you for the engine?

I thought about this to but decided not to do it at this time.. Make sure to use "primer 34" for the edges and curves so it doesn't peel up.. Give it a try..

Very nice indeed, but I'm sure that costs a pretty penny.
