I don't understand this...

Maybe I'm just not "hip" or "cool" but this seems silly and childish to me. Everyone brags about being "friends" and a "community" on here. Why not just say the offsets? Maybe people enjoy the way it looks and would like run similar wheels on their car.

So why even show the pictures to begin with? You know people are going to ask the specs of the wheel.

That's funny. I actually spec'd them out myself after a ton of measuring and fitting. I dont' go through wheel vendors either, I'm direct since I run a shop in Canada, so I spec out lots of wheels for various cars.

It's really simple, do some research, and fit your own wheels. I don't get what's so hard to understand.

I understand where bippu147 is coming from he doesn't have to let all the cats out the bag. If your searching for that perfect fitment do the hard work yourself and you'll feel better with the results at the end.

For all those wondering offset, I'll just put this to rest since it doesn't look like he's going to share.

As tiger4life and sinistervr have said. If his old wheels were 11" -1 and he got 13" with the same fender clearance it would be +24 or +25 giving him 2" less clearance to the suspension (which does fit with his fender mods). Now he can go as high as +35 maybe even +40 without touching the suspension but that is as high as offset as the car will take with that wide of a wheel. The fact he says its "not even close on the offset" only leads me to believe one of two things. 1) He got a higher offset (like a +35~+40) because he didn't like the poke on his old setup. Or 2) He got a more aggressive offset to get a more aggressive stance, which would require more fender work, which would explain why he hasn't posted a photo yet of the wheels actually on the car 7 months after making this thread. Either way we won't know until we see them on the car.

-Sherlock out!

PS: Don't be so coy Jimmy, I never shunned you when you texted me asking about offsets LOL.
BTW when you coming over to Kelowna? We're have a cruise/BBQ in August

Just curious.... Why that wide of a wheel but the lip isn't that big? I know you got the gte swap so is it just so you can put more rubber on the road?

This is sick! I'm using to hearing 200 ranged tires being stretched. 325 is just absurd. Lol, and also its interesting how other websites can well respect the secret offset society, but here everyone is in a need to know. People put in hard work to find the exact wheel/suspension specs to get the stance they want. Lets respect that

I once read a comment yeeears ago from Guitarman here on CL that was SO on point about the "secretive" manner in which some ppl handle their offsets, parts sources, kit fitment details, etc. It went something like this: "Why would you not want someone to have the same wheel setup as you? You sound like a bunch of catty females in a freaking dress shop!" Wise words...
