Yes, they are nice at night and during the evening but at day time they are hardly visible. I think the design doesnt allow for the led to reflect on an upward/sideways direction as like in the SONAR. Since LEDs are directional the led housing needs to be designed so it reflects the led beam and these appear to only direct it straight back.

If you stand and look at the tails from different angles you'll see what i mean, but once you look from a car level ( sitting from another car) you can see them better, but again Daytime intensity is Very poor.

I think i may go back to 01's

Ill try snapping pics. though i love my RICE from time to time, i do appreciate Function over Form mostly ALways. I think safety is the #1 issue im having with these right now.

Just installed my set. I think I'm going to remove the resistors and pull the bulb.

One thing that's bugging me about these lights.... when I step on the brakes, the outer group of LEDs do not get brighter. Any way to fix this?

i just installed these last night, when i had my low beams on, and i stepped on the brakes, one of my inner tails did not light up. i reconnected the plug going into the light, because it was a bit loose, and it worked. i suggest you just check your connections.

I got a great deal on 01+ taillights, so I'm gonna go with those over the Depo ones. I was seriously considering these though...

They do. It's completely plug-n-play for the most part. Also comes with reverse bulb.
