215,500 miles on my '99 GS 400. Other than normal maintenance the car is as solid as a rock. Main repairs in the last few years have been front caster arm assemblies ($1k) and knock sensors ($1.5k). Amazing that in 4 years the car will be 20 years old! Will probably keep it forever.

I'm interested to know how many of these >200k mile examples are on the original timing belt.
This post should have been "post your mileage and mileage at which timing belt was changed"

I wouldn't push it, the risk if it breaks....
Just change it, it is easy enough on a GS4.... My OEM belt was swapped around 90k, I drove that belt to 230k or so before I changed it....

272K on my '98 GS4 and running strong as a daily driver.
Ironically, I'm fastidious about maintenance, less so about cosmetics etc.
Kind of a challenge to see how many miles I can get out of old girl.

I'm with ya! I have usually retired my GM cars at 250k, and they are usually tired by then. But now I am at 252k on the GS4 and it runs so well, there is no doubt that I won't easily get another 200k out of it, if not more.
My long term goal, 500k. But I will likely keep it for a long long time. It runs to well to retire!
With my GM cars they were rusting, breaking plastics , very worn out road feel, but still ran good. But the GS has nothing broken, 1 light out in DS power seat, and a rear O2 sensor bad (and I don't care about REAR O2's...).
I just can't complain about it, best car purchase I have ever made.
I ponder what I will get next, but I can't even justify replacing my GS....

At 201k....GS400...engine puts like new
Just bought the car...have a stack of records and what would look like perfect service history.
Once I fix this fuel issue the car will be good to go.
Have some nice plans for it

2001 white GS300 bought in 2004 with 32k on it and currently sitting at 154k miles. Within the last year or so is when I have begun to replace certain things which is expected, still tinkering on her here and there. All in all, I will keep her as long as she will have me.

Havent had the timing belt changed. Had plugs, wires, gasket changed a couple weeks back and my guy says I am good. A change is coming, just not now.
