Default Been lurking for a while, now time to post...

Around 5 months ago, i picked up my 2000 lexus gs300. I come from the toyota family owning numerous supras and fell in love with the 2jz platform since i swapped my first one. This is my first four door car i have owned, and all i can say is i love the room it has! I did NOT like the granma look the car had when it was bone stock, so i picked up rims and coilovers right away. Im going to try to keep it full interior as i get my cage in and get it ready for xdc. For such a heavy car with so many miles (368,xxx) it drifts well after some suspension bolt ons. I will have a build thread with the swap im working on and some pics/vids of drifting as i get them... Here are a couple pics for you guys to take a gander at....

Its actually a great car to drift. I am more particular to heavier cars, big angles, and long sweepers, so it works out for me. Just gotta finish up my 2j im building on the side for it and get it in!

Nice car the Akina motosport decal stood out, if the business owners are from Hawaii they're probably my family somewhere down the line. Nice GS!

Hmm interesting never thought there were asian akinas without ties to hawaii. I was hoping to have some family members with ties to Japan. Lucky

Glad to know GS's can last for that long, if properly taken care of

Very nice to see the GS hold up with that amount of miles, have you done any maintenance to it yet?

Welcome to CL.. I do like that setup for drifting. I don't know much about drifting but seems like the heavier car would be better planted to the ground than a lighter car... I could be wrong but you said you liked the heavier cars..

I also like the color combo... Looking forward to vids with the swap..
