Default starter issues?
not sure if its my starter or not but when I put the key into the ignition and turn it clockwise to start the engine, after turning the key i have to hold it there for a couple seconds and hearing this "grinding" noise before the engine actually starts up. not sure what it is but may have to replace starter (which i doubt) or starter contacts.. any input would be nice.

Where's the grinding noise coming from ? engine compartment ? ignition ? more info would be nice

sounds like your starter drive is bad, or the ring gear on the flywheel damaged.
