Default Suggestions on car audio overhaul.

Hey everyone! I recently purchased a 2003 GS300 Sport Design from a fellow member. Shoutout to BigMerle!

I want to redo the audio system in the car. So far my combination are component Polk MM6501, coaxial Polk MM651, Pioneer GM-D8604 amp, and the sub is a Polk Audio Engineering sample 500W but the closest thing it resembles on the website is the Polk MM2124 400W sub. The sub will be in a sealed enclosure which is 0.95 cubic feet. Polk recommends 0.88 cubic feet for this sub so will it be okay in the 0.95 cubic feet box? Also the component (125W) and coaxial (100W) speakers run at 2.7ohms and the GM-D8604 runs 4x115W @ 2.7ohms based on my calculation of 4x150W @ ohms and 4x100W @ 4ohms. This means the coaxials will be 15W over powered and the components will be 10W under powered. Would this be fine as well? The sub amp I bought from BigMerle is a Polk Momo C500.1.

Edit: I forgot to add the headunit is an Alpine W505

Sub Enclosure
Polk MM6501
Polk MM651
Pioneer GM-D8604
Polk MM2124

Thanks for the help everyone! If anyone has better combinations as far as speaker amps and car speakers I am all ears. As far as the amp and sub, I'm sticking with what I have.

I would get a custom built box instead of a prefab box. Those mass produced boxes are notorious for failing. I just put a set of JL Audio 6.5 components in mines and they are amazing imo, I never used any polk speakers but I haven't heard anything bad about them. If your gains are set correctly you should be OK with the power numbers just watch the volume levels

Which JL component set did you use for your setup?

Is there a solid reason why you'd upgrade just the front instead of the rear speakers? Isn't there a noticeable difference in sound quality?

I have seen with a nice front stage and subwoofer rear speakers were pretty much useless imo. It like at a concert the vocals are coming from in front of you

Exactly, I've always felt you're better off throwing your money at the front stage and if you do that right with plenty of power the rears are unnecessary. I've never missed having rear fill in my cars.

I have Dynaudio and they are amazing. They fit well into the stock openings front and rear. Well, if you disassemble the tweeter case.

So sorry for the late reply guys. I tried Googling Dynaudios and I can't find any for my car to research, it's mostly big speakers meant for home. I'm thinking of getting Pioneer D Series for the component and coaxial speakers since I'm not an audiophile, I just like nice sound, but I'm also trying to keep the cost low and I've read good reviews on them.

How much are you spending? You can get anything if sky is the limit?

If I wanted to go to the budget route, I would get Alpine SPR-60C 6.5" Car Audio Component System all around. Can't go wrong with these and you can find them at the audio shops easily than Dynaudios.

I got 165 VB FOCAL POLYGLASS 6.5" speakers for the rears... the magnets are kinda big...They handle mid range quite easily, especially at high volume. The front are Focal Access 1 165A1 speakers, not as powerful but still handle with ease.
