Has anyone had their front wheel bearing go out?

Have I had my wheel bearing go bad?

YYYUUUUPPPPPP!!!

At the shop now having both front bearings replaced, while they're at it I'm having dusk shields replaced with Supra TT shields. And yes, having your bearings replaced is expensive. Not really a DIY as far as I'm concerned.

Get the hub assembly from RockAuto. The bearings come pressed in and it will be much cheaper to install at a shop. You could make it a DIY with the whole assembly.

Yeah, driver front is going out and I've had a bad experience once. Actually broke the spindle
I just wanted to see how common of an issues this is.

Yeah, almost sounds like the low pad warning bar right now.

Not sure if I'll have time to do it my self or not. I have access to a shop with a press and all, so that won't be an issue, but I just don't have the time right now.

I did my passenger side ball joint a few weeks ago and could hear and feel the bearings slightly grinding. I will probably do the whole hub assembly for simplicity's sake.

My pass. Side one would make a noise on the freeway while making long left turns and I.felt it through the floorboard. I happen to work at a dealer so I did the work myself, but it was not the easiest.

Not sure, I did my girl's IS rear as well and it was pretty easy.

Had my front bearings shot for a while and was riding around like that for a while.

Took the car to get an alignment and ended up getting a suprise -- both front bearings shot. Total work to be done = $5xx.xx including labor + parts.

Took my happy *** to advance auto, bought two timken bearings/national bearings for around $70. Got the rest of the oem parts from sewell (clips, caps, etc) then took off my spindle one weekend. Dropped them to pep boys and they pressed and installed everything for $80 total.

Put everything back on my car, drove to get an alignment and everything was done.

They told me when they took everything out that the little ***** in the bearings itself just fell out all over the place. It was that bad.
