Default Aristo swap... Idiling high & limp mode!

I have a 2000 GS300 with the 2JZ VVT-i swap on a single, stinger EMS 4424 and the stock JDM ecu cause I'm auto.( I'm also using USDM MAF) I'm having a issue when the car is cold it idle perfect until it reaches normal operating temps then the RPM's goes to 1800 and stays there. It free revs but when I try to drive it it's in limp mode. I did research on here and the web and some people say it's the IAC valve is stuck or I should be using the aristo MAF. Has anyone encounter this problem and was able to fix it with ease?

Every sensor is program to work within the design parameters. If the CPU sees something different, obviously it's gonna act different. Maybe someone else can relate.

Your MAF might be throwing things out of wack -- did you check the voltage on that vs the voltage that the jpn maf would need?

intake actuator valve is stuck? -- i'm not sure if this is what its called, but if it was stuck this would cause more of a low idle or fluctuation when the car sits and you get up and go.

Im not sure if the aristo had a MAF sensor... Jeff wired mine up using a MAP sensor.

But our setups are completely different so I could be wrong.

Your car is using a Manifold Absolute pressure instead of a Mass Air Flow sensor? How did he do that????

Do you mind showing me a pic of the MAP on your car?

His car is using a standalone.

2jzgttegs, do you have any CEL? Sometimes you have to tweak the TPS sensor and maybe the throttle plate set screw if the previous owner of the engine messed with it. If the throttle goes dead(rev the engine when its idling high at 1800rpm, if the throttle does not operate normally), then you most likely just need to tweak those 2 things.

Yes it throws a CEL once it's idling high and I'm trying to drive it. But I did notice when I start it up first thing in the morning and wait until the motor reaches normal operating temps the idle would go up to 1800 right before the fans come on.

Jeff I will try messing with the TPS & set screw adjustments

Hey Jeff I adjusted the screw and now it doesn't idle high anymore but it still throws a CEL after the car is running for awhile.

Well these are the codes from me jumping the wire from E1 & Tc in the diagnostic box under the hood.

Turn the key to on position & the check engine flashed & gave me a few codes.
