Just curious as to why you went this route instead of aftermarket HID's which would have saved you the trouble

You have oem halogens therefore you dont have the auto leveling located in the rear of your car, unless you plan to wire all of that up, you will not have auto leveling, i wanted to go your route but it ended up way to costly so now i have regular aftermarket hid, but i plan for a retro fit ls430 soon

Yeah? How about a different term beside "ricer" buddy cause you can beam them down and maybe some people dont want to drop $300-500 on lights. Does lowering a Lexus, putting exhaust, and so forth also qualify as ricer?

yeah? yes.

Calm your nuts man. lol... im sure your car looks nice with (inhales)

"20" Foose Wheels - Black Center/Hyper Black Lip 20x8.5 Front 20x10 Rear | Tein S-Tech Springs/L-Tuned Shocks | Mac Blick Roof Spoiler | JP 3Piece Spoiler | TTE Front Lip | L-Tuned SideSkirts | LED Taillights| 3M Tint | Magnaflow Custom Exhaust | Clear Side Markers | Prolumen 6000K HID's | Blacked Out Grill | Black Vinyl Roof | Black Rear Bumper Insert | Cross Drilled/Slotted Rotors"

you can adjust the reflection of the bowl downwards but it doesn't mean it will remove glare.

FYI, i wasnt referring you as a ricer.

lol, now you are pointing at mods now to determine if someone is a ricer or not?

I guess in that case L3XOTIC is NOT a ricer because he has "20" Foose Wheels - Black Center/Hyper Black Lip 20x8.5 Front 20x10 Rear | Tein S-Tech Springs/L-Tuned Shocks | Mac Blick Roof Spoiler | JP 3Piece Spoiler | TTE Front Lip | L-Tuned SideSkirts | LED Taillights| 3M Tint | Magnaflow Custom Exhaust | Clear Side Markers | Prolumen 6000K HID's | Blacked Out Grill | Black Vinyl Roof | Black Rear Bumper Insert | Cross Drilled/Slotted Rotors"

and I AM indeed A a ricer because I don't have those mods.

just because L3XOTIC has all those mods and possibly might have the same set of HID's as I do, but I dont have all those mods therefore determines I am a ricer and he is not?

I don't think you will be able to use the Auto Leveling feature. The sensor is located at the rear of the vehicle so that the headlights can adjust when going over bumps or when heavy cargo is added.

The attached diagram shows height sensors on the drivers side on both the front and back suspension. The same parts diagram website also shows a different wiring loom for cars with HID with the wires for the height sensors integrated into the wiring loom and not in a separate loom.

grow some thicker skin. It seems as if most people on the 2GS board are now over sensitive.

was i calling you a ricer too? no. If you know the difference compared to halogen bowls vs HID bowls then you would understand what im saying...

im sure living in Cali youve seen many cars with drip in HID's in their halogen bowls.. its JDM glare YO! umm yea ricer. Ever stood in front of a 2GS with halogen + HID?? super glare. ever stood in front of a 2GS HID bowl with HID? its quite pleasant.

Obviously the OP wants something better so he wants to go with a HID headlight vs HALOGEN headlights with the PNP HID.

Stop getting offended when it wasnt directed to you. Im only voicing my opinion about the HID in Halogen bowls. This is a forum after all... not a flame war.

oh and another.. to the OP. with the money spent on HID headlights, go for projector retrofit... its better than the OE HID headlights but it doenst have the cool leveling adjustment.
