i have a 2000 silver gs300, wondering if anyone has put a black vinyl roof on one? POST PICS PLEASE!, i have mixed feelings about it at the moment.

Itll look good. Ive seen it numerous times. I have it on my crystal white but silver always looks good. Now, are you going matte black or glossy black?

here is mine, it is in 3m new scottprint carbon fiber, not gloss black but you get the idea. I was going to do gloss black with the 3m material but the place I bought it from said it would be more up keep and would scratch easier, so i went with the carbon fiber instead. I really like it, it has a texture carbon fiber feel and looks great IMO, not to bam in your face but it is there.

I think matte black looks way better....I saw the carbon film on a bmw tonight actually...it looked pretty awesome

for some really odd reason, the black roof thing doesnt look good on the 2GS. i love it on almost all the other cars: bimmers, mercedes, g35 coupes, IS's and even the 3GS. BUT, it just dosnt flow good on a 2gs. maybe its just me.

The last image is the most recent picture of the car. In my opinion i would not get it vinyled i would get it painted will match the sunroof 100%.

I just had mine done with gloss black... I'm very happy with the result and he also put a glossy protectant over the vinyl to protect it and make it more shinier. Comes with a 5 year warranty.

Carbon fiber or gloss black looks great don't think Matte black would work again a factory paint color.
