Default Replacement of 17" chrome factory rims

Hey fellas, I got an 98' GS400 with the factory 17" chrome rims which is high on mileage but as we all know these gems last forever. I am forced to replace the rims as they are badly corroded but don't have funds to get anything like lowenharts which I would like. I like the look of these particular rims with the 5 spoke thick chrome look. Does anyone have recommendations/suggestions for similar type rims to replace the old ones aside from just getting the same rims. If anyone has a set of factory 17", let me know. Thanks in advance

I was going to suggest the wheels from RX330 and GS350, but those are 18". You can do the IS300 17", but that's a downgrade.

You ever look at getting those original wheels rechromed? I bought a set that had been redone almost 3 years ago, and they are still looking great.

The GS rims you have are 17x8. The IS300 rims are 17x7 so that would be a smaller rim. Its not much of an advice but I hope it helps.
Like rsteidl said . . . you may want to look into refinishing them.

This place will repair rims or will exchange your rims plus $$ and get ones that are refurbed.

Craigslist for cheap OE wheels. 2nd gen IS wheels look great on the 2GS and seem to pop-up all the time. You can also consider painting your wheels. Its not as big of a DIY project as some think.
