Default Could it be torque converter lock up clutch slipping?

I feel my 2000 GS400 recently has some issues:

1/. Start from rest and WOT, doesn't feel any hesitation.
2/. If it is rolling from 25-30mph, and then WOT, I feel it stall for about 1/3 tp 1/2 before it started to take off...
3/. While driving anywhere between 45mph to 65mph in the freeway, I notice this, I can floor the throttle for 0.5S-0.8S(very briefly) and let go the gas pedal, the tach will shoot up about 500-600rpm, but no change in speed in the speedo!!! I assume if the car is travelling 45mph to 65mph, the torque converter lock up clutch should have been locked up already and so any change in engine rpm should be reflected in the speedo because the engine is driving the transmission directly, in this case, I would think the lock up clutch is slippling...

No CEL light.

what do you people think?

How hard is it to pull out the torque converter? Jack up the car, loosen the bolt for the transmission and the U-join, drop the transmission, and do I need to loosen the engine mount so the engine will tilt down towards the back?

I recently changed my timing belt, water pump, all the spark plugs, fuel filter and fuel pump, and air filter back a while ago.
I cleaned my MAF and throttle body also.

I am planning to do a engine flush later to clean out the carbon inside the engine and change the injectors, O2 sensors also.

sounds normal to me..... if you briefly blip the throttle, the change is RPM is only the trans downshifting.... you will not see a speed increase unless you leave your foot on the gas and allow the car to get into the lower gear and pull in that gear

These are the things:

1/. You said "the change is RPM is only the trans downshifting." I step on the gas briefly, the rpm goes up~500-600 RPM, if the transmission is shifting, then the rpm should be going way down, not going up.

2/. When I tried that, I was in manual mode, 4th gear, meaning the transmission will not shift into 5th gear, so there cannot be any down-shifting from 4th to 5th.

Seems to me the transmission is not picking up the power from the engine the moment I step on the gas.

you are back asswards............ downshifting is going down a gear 4th-3rd, meaning the rpms raise up when it goes (or is trying to go) into a lower gear

still sounds normal.... every single auto car will do exactly as you are describing if you breifly hit the pedal and let off

Does this happens all the time? What are the conditions? Does it happens during hot or cold?
