Heres the deal and Ill try to make this as brief as possible... I live in florida and found a gs400 in Cali So I sent the money to him. Well today his girlfreind calls and says hes in jail for beating her up. I check her story and he is in jail and I even talk to the deputy and he knows the stoy . Heres the problem... the car is supposed to be picked up for shipping tomorrow but the girlfriend says she doesnt know where the key is. The guy i bought it from (boyfriend whos in jail) says she has the key and the deputy went through his belongings and there is no key. Shipper wont ship the car if its inoperable. Does anybody have any suggestions or live near big bear lake california and can go check on the car?? I say im not sure if its a scam because the girlfriend is being very uncooperative and i think she does have the key.

I know I know never send money but I felt I had to go ahead and seal the deal on the car. He had been truthful about everything regarding the car and I even talked to the previous owner... Anyhow I know i know it wasnt the safest thing to do and the purpose of this thread want to hear i told you so but to see if anybody had any suggestions or help. Does anyone know how much dealer will charge to make a new key?? Dont they have to take out computer to reflash??

Should've made a down payment if you truly felt other people would buy it before you.

You could've at least had an established CL member go and check out the car for you.

hope a member on here will be nice enough to help you out.. if not i would fly out there asap....keep intouch with the cops so that you know where she live or the cop you talk to... bring all your papers with you... emails, as many proof of purchase...hope you get your car..... good luck
