Default Suspension Question

So I am about to install Dazien front suspension and swaybar bushings and I was considering doing a shock/spring upgrade while I was at it. I've searched around and haven't found any good answers for a non coilover solution. I'm not against coilovers just trying to avoid the price. What I have seen is blisten and KYB but no good reviews on them, and suggestions on springs? Wouldn't mind a drop just nothing extreme and not going to argue with a stiffer setup either.
Suggestions? Comments?

I personally like the Tanabe NF210 springs for a slight drop (~1.0") while maintaining a smooth ride quality. They work quite well with KYB shocks.

after buying shocks then springs, you are already around 8-1000 bucks... might as well spend a few extra dollars and get shocks/springs that are meant to work together ie.coilovers. price is by far more expensive for shock/spring combo if you think about it. go ahead and do the math and you will find out. tein flex can be had for 1400, you can go even cheaper and do the SS coilover for around 1000 and ksport, decent riding and fully adjustable for around the same price, performance, as far as transitions, is lacking however, but you clearly only want the looks more over the performance aspect, so just bite the bullet... I never understood why people wasted money on non adjustable suspension, when all they needed was another 200 bucks or so. Thats just my opinion and tryin to help you out.

Price isn't that bad if you can buy used springs. I was able to get a set of used L-tuned springs for $120 plus $280 for new KYB shocks. Heck, I just sold a set of brand new Tein H-tech springs for $150.

You can pick up Megan coilovers for $700 if you're worried about price. Coilovers are becoming much more affordable over the past couple of years.
