Looking to buy a GS400

I'm a owner for a 2000 Lexus ES300 Platinum Edition, I have the chances to purchase a 1998 GS400 for $7000 can you guys give me any advice on some problems that I should look for.

Other than previous service history, i'd get the ball joints checked out.. also, was the major work like timing belt recently done?
