I am going to be upgrading my horns on the GS, but I am curious to know if anyone has any information in regards to the decibel level the OEM produces. The reason as to why I am asking is the 2 replacements I am looking at.

-Hella Dual tone trumpet 110db

or

-Hella Super Tone 118db

I'll end up with the dual tone trumpets if it is a marked improvement over the OEM version. I can't purchase and then return the Hella's at my local shop due to it being a electronic item. The supertones are to much of a rally car look or off road look and are much higher in price locally. If I had to I would get them.

you could get it decibel tested, if a audio shop around you has one or buy a cheap one from sears or someplace.

this one is cheap,the Scosche SPL1000 SPL Meter DB Range 135 DB Max

i started to get a train horn bout a year ago or so but the cost of them, i just couldn't justify it.
