Default what RPM is your GS3 at?

I have a 99 GS3 with 142k and was just wondering if this is normal because sometimes the tranny bugs out when downshifting on this car. When I'm at 60mph on cruise the rpm is 2 lines above 2 and when I start gettin close to 65 and 70 its almost hitting 3. I feel like it should be less cuz my other cars were neve like this. So everyone please lemme know what your rpms are at and at what mph. Thanks evereyone if anyone else experienced hard shifting with this car when going slow let me know

I think this was said somewhere but dont quote me on this. The gearing is made so that the car can get up to max speed quicker than 110-120ish so the rpms r usually higher when cruising than another car. Hope im on the right track and hope tht helps.

It's atleast 80 @ 3000 rpm in 5th gear. Might be 85mph even. Not quite sure, I haven't driven the GS3 for the last 3 weeks.

Stop whining. My MX-5 spins around 4,300rpm at 80. Stock gearing with 2x factory horsepower sucks.
