HI,

I'm planning on buying Tanabe DF210 springs. Wanting to know if $315 HST included in Ontario is a good price for just the springs. After looking around the forum, the DF210 seem to be the best choice for springs on my GS300.

If anyone knows of another tune shop that can get these for a better price please let me know.

You can try KVR performance in Ottawa... in Toronto Im sure you could find some for less.

Why not save a bit more and get coils, the springs will die out eventually especially after winter. The roads would need some work. It also depends on how often you drive...

I only drive it in the summer. I tried pretty much all the shops here in Ottawa and a place in orlean called tuneatics are the only ones who can get the DF210 in Ottawa. The reason im not getting coils is becuase the roads in Ottawa arent suitable for a slammed car, and it be a waist of doe getting coils if im not slamming it. Plus the DF210 give the car a nice ride height from the pictures ive seen.

Would it be worth my drive for the savings i'll get from buying in Toronto? Hard to say.

From toronto, it would usually be free shipping.

Toronto is a lot bigger than Ottawa, so usually the market is a bit cheaper.

The only problem is the HST, which you have to deal with almost anywhere in Canada.

Coils in Ottawa, is not bad. My sister has coils on her ride. And the ride is pretty good, but handling is improved. And its slammed a fair bit.
I think there is only a 4" gap from the road to the bumper.

And she drives it in the winter...

Im sure you can ask drewefx, I think on his sig. he list the mods on his car. And the springs you are looking for is one of 'em.

But back to Toronto and Ottawa, there may be only a difference of $25 or so. So you may just buy em from the shop in Orleans...

Wow that low and she drives it in the winter. This winter wasnt to bad so it can be done. I messaged drewefx but im prob just going to go and order the DF210's from tunetics in orleans.

PS...You have a pretty sweet gs eh, turbo'd and all. Do you ever come up to ottawa with that thing?

Yea this year was pretty good. Just cold...

Yup, drives it in winter, winter's only benefit is with snow you are levelled off with speed bumps and a few inclines. But in summer you are not.


Yea I guess, snow is melting anyways, hopefully by mid march the snow would be gone. Ask how much they will also install it for ?

Before making a final decision, I'd wait for drewefx to reply. And see what he thinks of em.

Yea thanks, changed almost everything in the GS. More to come as well... You can see me in Ottawa driving around in the summer. But I dont go to Orleans to often.
