Default To all you battery OG's out there.

Well i'm looking to buy a new battery.. The one I have at the moment seems to have a dead cell in it, so I plan to get a new one in the next month or so.

I mainly am posting to ask what would be best to get considering in the future I will want to upgrade my sound system.. Nothing to crazy though, maybe just a new 10'' and new speakers in the doors and of course an amp to power all of it. When that time comes around I won't want to have any problems when it comes to dimming and whatnot. I have read and don't think that the big 3 will be necessary since I won't be pumping power like some of you do with your 2 12's and whatnot.

Like I said just probably going to upgrade to a double din/10 Inch Sub/new door speakers and an amp (maybe 2 depending if the sub needs an amp to power itself) to power it all.

Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance guys.

~Daniel~

Yellow top. I am running a 500W amp and 10in sub. The rest of the sound system is stock. It's shorter then stock so you will need a spacer.

Before you get a battery look into a pulsetech. I have brought 6 batteries back to life with this thing that I thought were dead.

You can get them on ebay as well.

My Optima Yellow Top blew a cell in 2 1/2 years.

I'm just running a generic Bosch battery now.

same here, blew 3 while using them as a starter battery.

OP, other batteries to look into are Odyssey and SVR batteries and maybe Stinger.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'll go with a Kinetik HC1800 under the hood. It's sounds like Its perfect for doing an aftermarket setup in the future.

Brian: Does the battery fit in perfectly? No touching the hood? Or ???

I thought I read in some other thread that it touched the hood.

I read your thread Brian.. And to be honest i'm beyond confused, lol, so just to clarify.. It WILL fit with the stock battery tray under the hood? Or will I have to look for a new battery tray or something? I got totally confused in the thread when you said it will fit to other people, but then went with the FIGS tray that they made you, lol..

So just wanna know before I go and buy the beast.. Will it direct fit on OEM battery tray or no? If not, what do I need to go buy to get it to fit?

Thanks broham and sorry, lol, i'm sure you've explained this a million kajillion times and are tired of explaining..
