I think its a little high, I just checked and there are several for sale in my area with lower miles for around 8k. But it all depends on how well it was kept...service records are key.

I think it being a sport design edition and the owner knowing how rare that is encourages him to go for a little higher price. Its is asking a little bit lower than the KBB value.

OP i say go for it. See maybe if he could drop it a lil tho. It is rare to see a sport design and i love mine but its not all that. The black wood interior gets old after a while. to me it does anyway. Still a nice car to have but the fact that it has been serviced is good. Like i told someone else if you think u are gettin your moneys worth do it. I bought my 02 SD gs3 GGP in 09 with 62k miles and i paid 11k for it. So it was about 1600 more than that one. I would do it. Althought sometimes i wish i had the power of a 400/430. all a matter of personal preference

Sounds like a good deal if he'll come down just a tad..
the nice thing about Sport Designs, is when you go to sell it, they are more saught after, and book for slightly more still..
Sport Design VS 430 is just personal preference..
I personally love the interior in my SD waaay more then my 430, but my 430 did have a nice interior as well.. I'm just partial to black with black wood and preforated seats, over the gray in my 430..
I do miss the sound of my 430, and it did move pretty good for a big car, luckily i have owned both, I think alot of the GS300 owners get V8 envy sometimes..
I find it odd that some people think the car is too big for a I-6 , i think the 2JZ powers the GS very well, the 1UZ/3UZ just makes it quick, the 2JZ is great for nomal driving, want slow? drive around my Accord EX 4cyl, or Camry 4cyl..
