Default Lexus gs master cylinder

Hello. I have a 98 lexus gs 300. I am looking to change my master cylinder. Ive seen a lexus gs 400 master cylinder for sale. The seller stated that the master cylinder are the same but not sure if the abs is the same and not sure if it would fit. Can you guys let me know if it will fit or not? Thanks

All second GEN GS masters fit any second GEN GS with the exception of the Fluid Sensor which needs to be swapped depending on years.

Everyone and their mother will tell you if you are going to change your master go for 01 plus. either GS3 or GS430 will work. Do a search and find out why, if you dont you'll regret it.

with that said i have one of a 01 GS3 in the for sale section, since you are local price will include free installation in my driveway

either way good luck, the GS masters are a PITA

ok. the master cylinder was changed. Im getting a better pressure but the pedal is still a bit soft. When bleeding the rear fluid only comes out of one side. For example if i bleed the left rear fluid comes out but then when i try to bleed the right rear fluid nothing comes out and vice versa. Any suggestions on what could be causing the problem? Thanks guys
