Default How the heck do you "wire" this? Coolant sensor!

Ordered part # 83420-30020 from Lexus. It's the sending unit/sensor for the gauge cluster in order to read water temp on the cluster.

FINALLY came in....wtf! Looks either missing a part or broken?!?

I ask the Lexus parts guys and they are obviously useless. I took pictures and left it there for now.

How does this get hooked up? Anyone can take a pic of theirs? Its located near the knock sensor.

the top has a small hole that is enclosed and its tapered. NO threads on top.

lol i think it's wrong part... there is suppose to be a "female connector" type so you can plug it in.

What I am trying to do:

Get the proper sensor(s) in order to install them on my LS2 in order to make the cluster read properly.

Haha. seriously does!

I know the fan switch has a 2 pin plug. I don't need that.

If you look at the diagram above...it looks just like the picture I took.

Give who a call? I ordered it from my local dealership. I just went there to pick it up and didn't look right. So I took pictures of the part while at the dealership. The techs AND sales guy were clueless to whether it's correct, broken or how the piece works/installs. I know more than them.

I didn't order from sewell. I only used that pic for reference. However I did PM Darol from sewell and he had none and had never seen one before. That's why I ordered local.

Hope this makes sense

That is the ECT FAN switch. It installs in the radiator and tells the fans to turn on/off. Part # 89428 in the sewell diagram I posted above.

I'm sure something is not right with that part. I'd make another order if i were you and return that. And make sure it has a female connector type at the end.

I didn't buy it. Left it at the dealer.

Sold my engine/harness awhile ago. That's why I an hoping someone can look on their car and see what it looks like an what the plug looks like. 98-05 GS300 and 99-05 IS300 use the same part number.
