Default 2001 Lexus GS300 Door locks problem (I searched but couldn't find relevant info)

Hi, sorry for posting yet another door locks problem related thread but I couldn't seem to find any previous thread that matched my GS300's symptoms. I just bought a 2001 GS300 today which is perfect otherwise with all doors not locking/unlocking problem. All four doors won't unlock/lock with the button on the driver-side door and the passenger-side door lock button won't unlock/lock the passenger-side door. And Of course the unlocking/locking doesn't work with the key fob. When the door lock button is pressed, I can hear there is a sound from the actuator which sounds to me is NORMAL when a car door locks and unlocks. My gut tells me that it might not be the actuators/motors since having all four doors going out at the same time? The previous told me that all four doors stopped working in one day. Could it be something like the door ECU or relay that went bad? Please advise. Thank you very much.

Most likely its your drivers door actuator. If you hear the clicking from the all door locks at the same time.Use your key in the drivers door to lock and set the alarm.

Most likely the story you got was not 100% accurate.

If you hear the actuator it is probably because the motors are not totally dead but not strong enough to unlock/lock the door.

I have had them go out like this - in fact mine all started out like that and got worse.

If you're not sure, spend the $5 on one motor and change it to see.

Other door lock issues are very uncommon.
