broke ABS/VSC sensor on suspension install, DIY threads have no more pics :(

Ok, so I got the entire wire out and the ABS sensor as well.
Measured it and it read 0.
So I assumed the break would be near the sensor so I cut it open near the head of the sensor (not the actual sensor, just before it. I only saw a white and black wire) and the white wire was snapped off/stretched.
Soldered it back up, no liquid electrical tape near my house so I used a glue gun as an insulator and then wrapped the outside in electrical tape.
Tested it, read 1.68-ish olms. Pretty close so good.
Put it all back together and started the car, drove it for about 5min. Lights still on.
Disconnected the battery for 20min to refresh the memory, still lights are on.
What is the problem? 2 days ago I went to my mechanic to read the code and it said LF ABS sensor faulty and no other sides put out a code.
Measured it and it read 0.

I'll go to my garage again to run the codes to see what shows up.
Could it be that the sensor isn't touching the contact point inside the hub? I tried to push the sensor all the way down but there was maybe 1mm gap that I couldnt push down on. Should I use a rubber malet to tap the top of the sensor to close the 1mm gap? The side which has the 10mm bolt has zero gap, it's the other side.

i would advice hitting the sensor... cuz its a sensor lol.... it should fit with ease if everything is correct.... hmm i have 4 extra sensors (1 being a bad one)... i might be selling it.we'll see

Ok update, so it seems we had to clear the codes and it went away and didn't come back.
BUT, now the abs seems screwy. Everytime I'm coming to a stop 5-10mph, the abs kicks in.
When I'm going at 50mph and slow down fast to maybe 25mph the abs doesn't kick in. If I smash the brakes it will lock up, so that's normal.
What's going on? Is the gears inside the hub dirty or something else? It seems pretty dangerous to drive everytime the abs kicks in at low speeds.

i think it may have something to do with recalibration of some sort. IDK..i haven't figured mine out yet but once i do , i will post.

FIXED!
Seems like because the wires that I soldered together were so close to the hardned plastic near the sensor head, the wires ripped off easily, although still making contact.
I cut off a good 1 CM of the hard plastic off with my Dremel and exposed more wire and resoldered it. This time, I taped it up with electrical tape and used JB Weld around the area that may be weak, to harden the support over there.
I also managed to close the gap by using a dull chizzel to tap the end of the sensor that wouldn't go in.
Happy now it's fixed. The light turned off itself after 1min of driving.

Everything seems to be good so far. No funny ABS feel. Works like it should.
I'd suggest cleaning the sensor, checking the wires for 100% contact as well as making sure your sensor is pressed ALL the way in. I had to use a dull chizzel to hammer the edges flat to the hub.
