Default Help HID Ballast BLOWN

Hi guy, I posted this thread to see if you guys could help me out. I have an 02 GS with factory HID, my passenger side headlamp went out, took it to a shop and they said it is the ballast. They told me they can replace it but it Is a part of the headlamp assembly so they would have to order the whole headlamp.
Now of course I told them no it's ok, my question is could I just replace both ballasts with aftermarket ones with no problem using my current headlights or would I have to get non hid to install the aftermarket hid?

BTW this is incorrect....they are ATTACHED to the bottom of the headlight BUT they are not a part of a headlamp assembly.

just get some aftermarket ballasts and call it a day

Quick question with the aftermarket ballast?

I order a d2r set, do I cut off the connectors of the oem ballast to connect back to the car or is there a connector I buy to use to connect?

Since my car already came with factory hid what do I use to hook it back up?

The black and blue wires are the wires the kit came with thats suppose to connect to the lightbulb socket.

Default Hid

I have a set of Densol slims and also a set of the regular GS ballasts on some headlights I need to get rid of... I can sell you either one, or set.. Let me know in case you are still looking. I am in OC/LA.

Thanks,
Rock

Ok I've had no luck hiding an aftermarket ballast that connects right up to the oem plug to the car.
All I've found was hid kits for non-hid cars. I need a kit or wiring harness that can plug into the car harness.

Anyone care to chime in on my situation, what harness to look for? what ballast?
