I think I erased my Navigation ECU
Ok here the scenario. Was adjusting my sound through the navi diagnostics & I put in a high value & it caused my audio to stop working. So I cleared all Diagnostic memory (navi ecu included) & my sound was working again (sound great btw ), but when I tried to reset up my navi. Everytime I try to see the map it would not respnd & the screen would reboot. It would occasionally get a "please insert correct card" message when I try to set up navi. When it does go into map mode it doesnt show anything but a blank blue sceen. It seems like the firmware was cleared from the HDD. My question is ia there anything I could do it fix or reset it. Does this gs model have the dvd or the hard drive. If there is nothing I can do, its fine because the navi is outdated & I am working on getting a aftermarket headunit soon. So if you can help lmk

just pull the nav screen buy a OEM climate control unit and put in a aftermarket nav and call it a day.

Thanks for the reply sakataj. Sorry for forgetting to tell the model, but Yea its a 98, and the navigation was very old, it doesn't even show my house on the screen. Do you think I could make a little money selling the screen, and audio control w/ tapedeck on here, just to cover some money for the climate control.

maybe, if someone happens to need one and really wants one....you might be able to get 100-250 for it but 100-150 is more reasonable, ALTHOUGH you can pick up the hard drives from junkyards for cheap since they relatively garbage to almost everyone, could even be lucky and find one that someone updated

Aww okay cool. I will check the junkyard for one, but really I want to get it out of there. Although I do like the trip computer, but I have a Android phone, and I can find a app for it . Oh the message that pop up when I try to put in a destination is "CANNOT COMFIRM DATA, PLEASE COMFIRM CARD".
