Also I don't understand. You have the wheels, you have the GS, what's the problem? GO OUTSIDE AND MAKE THEM FIT.

While I wouldn't have put it as bluntly as tiger4life did, he does have a point. If you already have the car and the wheels, and are already aware of the amount of work necessary to make them fit, then what's stopping you? You can go on rimtuck to see what other people have been running, or even check the "Who's rolling hard on 18s" thread to see what other people have had to do.

I'm not trying to be a douche, but if he really has the car and the wheels and isn't to lazy to test fit the wheels he would see that the wheels stick out about 5.5" past the stock fender on a stock alignment. Yes you can make them fit but at that point it is probably a fruitless exercise to go around asking if other people have a similar setup. You're in figure it out yourself territory. He says that he's done it before on an S14 so it shouldn't be a problem for him, that's why I gave a quick answer originally.

Edit: My apologies, I don't think he has a GS yet so maybe I was a little harsh.

Okay read through this, still not straight on aggressive wheel specs so I'll ask:

18x10 +5, 18x11.5 -7

Will they clear the coilovers, control arms, inner fender?

Fronts are wide, not worried, rears can stuff these under fairly easily rolled out yes? Tires I'll make work, just curious about the wheel itself

No, and unless you don't mind running SERIOUS demon camber the rears will need to be pulled. Do a search for user "AEeighty6", his setup (18x11 -22) is 9mm more aggressive than what you're wanting to run.

So clearance on the coilovers is good? I don't really care if I have to build fenders for this car, I just want to know if it will clear the inside or not.

I'll stretch the rears as much as I need to, not worried about that just needed to know if you guys have gone that far.

People need to go back and read a bit through this thread in regards to providing information. So, once again....

We can't give you any information unless you give us some concerning what width and offset the wheels are... but, judging by your tire sizes, I can tell their 20's. Also, are you lowered or not?

I have a set of oem G35 19" Rays wheels.
Original tire specs for those wheels:
front: 19x8 +30 5x114.3 225/40/19 tires
rear: 19x8.5 + 33 5x114.3 245/40/19 tires

I want to put them on my 98 GS300.

I'm not looking to slam the car, just moderately lower it.
I am thinking 225/ 35/ 19 for fronts and 245/35/19 for rear.

Should I have 225/35/19 or 235/35/19 for the fronts?

Hi Guys,

I'm after suggestions on width/offset to run on my 98 GS300.

I currently have 18x8.5 +35 all round with 235/40R18 tyres and I hate it. I've recently installed Tanabe DF210 springs which from memory are 1.5" drop in the front and 1.8" drop in the rear.

I'm looking for suggestions in either 18" or 19" but mainly what width/offset to go for a good look, I want to avoid any major modifications to the guards, I can roll them if required but no shaving etc.

I do have a set of SSR wheels in the shed which are 18x8 +30 and 18x9.0 +35 but I think they will be no better than what I have.

Any input would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks in advance.

-Chris

spot on flush just incase anyone is wondering about a square set fitmentwise
next step is to bump up these 215/35s to 40s should pull things together better
