VVTi cam gear Viton O-rings.

VVTi cam gear Viton O-rings.
Hi guys, I found out that my VVTi cam gear is leaking on my GS3 and I'm about to take it apart to fix the leak. I've done the research and did came across the thread with that fellow that used RTV to seal up the gear, but I've also found a thread where Jeff said he ordered some Viton O-rings for this job.
Does anyone knows the diameter and thickness of this O-ring? If a part number is at hand then that would be even better.
I know I could take the whole thing apart, measure the diameter and thickness of the stock O-ring then order it. The problem is that this would leave me with some serious downtime while waiting for the replacement O-ring to arrive. I'm not about to order a $150 part when I know I can fix it either.
Thank you in advance for any useful inputs.

Some guy on my.is told me that he had used a Toyota O-ring with this part number to seal up the pulley. I've never tried it before so I can't tell you guys if this is true or not.

I took mine apart to replace the O-ring but couldn't find the appropriate O-ring to use. Instead of the O-ring I used some some black Permatex RTV and bolted the pulley back together. Drove halfway across the country without any problem.

I'm unsure if that is the part number for the seal, however I ordered mine direct through Jeff at powerdynamix.com
I'll be doing my timing belt this weekend too so this was a must, best of luck! BTW, don't forget to get the front seal for the VVT-i gear from the dealer as well #90210-26002.

I never really answer my PM anymore. Way too many people send me messages there and the box gets full in a day or two. I just stopped using it because it was a constant hassle to empty the inbox. If you need to reach me then send an email lol.
Here's the video rebuild guide I made if you need some instructions on how to rebuild the pulley.

Just buy a new VVTi pulley instead of taking the risk. I recently made the choice when I had some work done. Timing belt, timing tensioner, radiator, water pump, thermostat, valve cover seals, cam seals, crank seal, VVTi pulley, drive belt, spark plug wires and boots, lower ball joints, outer tie rods, and trailing caster arms replaced.

a easier fix!
You don't have to take the cam gear off or anything to seal it..all you need is some high heat silicone to fill the grooves on the edges of the gear and use muffler putty sealer on top the silicone to seal the gear!...I did it on my 2002 gs300 and never had a leak and its going on 5 months now..you just have to take off the top and middle plastic covers to expose the gear and belt assembly..I repeat there is no need to take the gear off the car you can seal it while its on there!
