Default NEW REAR BUMPER-WARNING! Some pics

Well as some of you are aware, our nice cars "develope" some nicks and scratches that only the Gods and Deviants of Society understand the cause and reasons. My rear bumper which was spotless 2 years ago had over "23" paint defects on it. 9 of which are very deep scars. Most of them are from the above mentioned hitting my car while parked. Jealousy rears iteslf in many ways. So I decided to redo the rear bumper. I picked up an extra rear bumper from GS4will so that the GS would not be down and I could take my time.
Here are some pics. Color is factory Lexus Pearl white.
Car is gorgeous once again.
Thanks GS4will for the bumper. Front will be done shortly.
FYI: If you have never painted before, dont use your Lexus as a test bed.

Default final pic

Finished product. Paint used- 1 pint base, 3/4 pint pearl, 1 quart clear. Misc. $110.00
Only problem is now the bumper looks better than the rest of the car since I wetsnaded to a glass smooth finish. So I suppose I will wetsand the rest of the car shortly to eliminate the slight factory orange peel. Front bumper to follow due to scrathes on it. Thought about the TTE lip but it is too low. Still contemplating side skirts. Just looking for something that is "none-ricey".
Once again thanks GS4will

PP,

That is some excellent work you have there. I have to agree with Will, your garage is more equipped than normal shop. All you need is a dynojet to complete it.

Will,

Let me know next time you are gonna visit him. I'll bring some XL PaPa John's.

Great job! There's probably no better feeling than a nice DIY. I'm guessing you've had some experience with painting???
