Default outer tie rod making contact with inside of stock wheel

Not sure how this is happening but the very end joint of my outer tie rod on my drivers side... (can be seen as the lower rod on the right side in this pic)

Is making contact with the inside of my stock rim. When i drive it grinds on the rim and makes a gash all the way around the inside of the rim

What could be going on here. I'm certain i could be related to my recent problem as in this post. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-lowering.html

I have called lexus but am waiting to talk to talk to a service rep and they havent gotten back to me.

Yes i did use a pic from the diy. Sorry for the confusion. I'm not trying to put the stock rim back on the car anymore so i cant snap a pic of that. Use your imagination and imagine that joint resting on the inside of the stock rim. I took the car into the dealership today and they basically turned me away on account of having a modified car The guy said that because the car is lowered that might simply be causing the tie rods to be lower and loose clearance with a smaller rim. Is there any truth to this? Excuse my noobness

Make sure you don't have them flip-flopped, like driver on passenger side and so forth because they do have different bends. This happened to me once and that was the problem.

The tie rods havent been removed as far a i know. I had my ball joints replaced a couple years ago, but i dont know if they needed to mess with the tie rods. I'll try to snap a pic of the parts in question if i have time today. I really hope nothing is on backwards And just for clarification the diy i took the pic from is the passenger side?

And for the ppl asking about rim specs, i'm talking about the stock 16" wheels here that the tie rod ends are grinding against. I my 20's have plenty of clearance.

From the sounds of it, they are definitely on the wrong sides.

Your speaking of the tie rod ends? According to this diagram they bend forwards (toward the center of the rim). I took a peek under there and they seem to be on right.
