Noob wheels opinion plus questions
Hey Club Lexers,
Got my 2000 GS400 last Oct. I want some wheels and I saw American Racing shows a 17X7 5 on 114.3 Torq Thrust. I like the old road racer look and would like your opinions. (Forgive my PhotoShop skills)
Also question about paint. My front bumper, hood and leading edges of the fenders have rock chips. Also I scuffed a side rocker skirt. I want to have them painted. But I was thinking that I'd like to re-fresh the whole car. I am thinking a wet sand and fresh clearcoat for the rest of the car. The reason I don't want to repaint the whole car is that When I worked around a bunch of museum curators and conservators their view was nothing is better than the factory paint.
Your thoughts and experiences?

If you insist on putting bullet style wheels on your car, at least get larger ones. Going for the old school race look with a 2gs is going to be a challenge, this is def. not the car to try and do that with

Wheels found
Thanks for the input,
Found a used set of Lexus 17's to replace the 16's the car came with.
Think I'll just keep the car stock as the only alternative seems to be the VIP look, which is just ridiculous for a daily driver. Will consider getting a 'Stang for actual fun.
