Time for new tires for my GS300, it has 16" Factory Chrome wheels.

I currently have the 215/60-16 and a 235/55-16 is the same diameter, so I am thinking that is my choice.

I want a touring type tire that is quiet, low vibration, and then performance. I also prefer a tire with rim protection.

Sizes:

215/60-16
225/55-16 alternate factory size, .4 less diameter
225/60-16 diameter larger .6 inch
235/55-16 same diameter as 215/60-16
245/50-16 diameter .4 less that 215/60-16

Tires considering:

Bridgeston serenity
General Altmax HP has a 235/55-16
Michilen Pilot AS has a 245/50-16


Others, but no rim protector:

Khumo Platinum
Michilen Primacy

I am sure some of you out there on the 16" wheels have tried the 235/55 or 245/50, what do you think?
