Commemorating my 1000th post w/ my 2nd-2GS!!!
Some of y'all know I've been looking for a 2GS for awhile now. I've search long and hard, traveled great distances (I'm not joking) for the perfect 2GS. Its rather hard to find one in Excellent condition, I mean Primo Cond. since the last 2GS's were made in '05.
At first, I wanted a GS400 because of the great experiences I've had with my '99 GS400 i've owned since Jan. 1999. Awesome car, my baby. After looking around, 400's are rare to be in good shape, they are out there but very few as I missed a few 400's because they were sold before i even picked up the phone.
My search went on only to find rag out, thrash, and beaten up GS's with good cosmetics (look good but have crappy interiors) as soon as you open the door, you know she wasn't taken cared for by the smell. And yes, I'm very picky and those that know me know how well my '99 GS400 was taken cared of..
I stumbled across a few '01-'03 GS430, in great condition low miles which had me re-evaluate if I wanted a 400 or 430? Since 400's in the condition that i want are almost non-existent. and I saw some glimmer of hope with the GS430's because there are more out there since they are newer and Lexus made GS430's for 5 years vs only 3 years of GS400's.
After 6 months of my daily grind with Autotrader, Car.com, Edmunds, Kbb, Carfax and Autocheck!! -- I found her!!!
To Commemorate my 1000th Post - I Unveil my 2nd - 2GS ---- (Drums rolling)............!
She is a 2005 GS430 Crystal Pearl white w/ Tan Interior. She was sitting at a Lexus Dealer in VA after a recent trade. The person who originally owned her was a 70 year lady (no joke) who purchase the car from this dealer and service with this dealer so this dealer knew everything about the car, its history, what was done.
You're not going to be believe the mileage on this car, the Original owner put only 18,433 miles on this car in 5 years and had it service every 6 months like clock work.. This is a TEXT BOOK BUY! I even got a decent deal as its a CPO car, which price is almost a non-concern at this point with this car.
These are dealer pics - i'll have new ones up with my freshly tinted windows in a few days.....

Thanks, according to the Online PDF file i got from Lexus.com - there was only 422 GS430's made in '05 and 2,578 GS300's..
