the oil used in K&N filter both drop in and cones have been known to destroy AFM, MAFs etc..

I only run dry filters I.E. AEM or equivalent

^ Very true. You probably over-oiled the filter. If you haven't thrown a CEL or anything of the sort yet, take the MAF out and gently wipe it down, GENTLY. Then clean it with CRC MAF cleaner.

There's no need to clean the cone filter with brake fluid IMO. If it's been two months since you've bought it then there is probably hardly any oil left on the filter. Just oil it up again, but don't over do it.

I still think you should have went with SRT or the Weapon R intake.

Alot of the time, its just you getting used to the vehicle. Cleaning your Maf is a good idea though.

I never had any issues with factory oiled k&n. But when I've cleaned them and oiled them it's hard not to go overboard. Get CDC maf cleaner and should be good or like the guy before me said now your just used to it.

When i got my K&N there was no oil on the filter at all. Have you disconnected the battery since the install? When i first installed my intake the car felt sluggish until i disconnected the battery for about 15 min. Then she woke right up!!

^ Haha. This dude is awesome.

It's like he's drunk posting 24/7. I had to read his previous post four times to figure out what he was trying to say to me.

and yes, I still remember. I have a good memory.

Haha. No need to apologize, my friend.

You bring a good vibe to this forum, although you could take it a little easy with the caps lock. Haha.
