Default HID issues. Sometimes 1 of the 2 ballast not powering up

whats up , I have a 01, GS3 . non hid. I put the retro-solutions hid kit on..install was a breeze, but I have a intermittent problem with one of the 2 ballast not powering up (sometimes driver side, sometimes passenger side). i would have to turn the head light switch on and off to get them both powered up together. Do i need to up the relay or fuse?

you're most likely going to need a relay. i had the same problem wit fogs and a relay fixed it

Check the relay and the connection points. I think if the relay was bad then both ballasts would fail together.

What kind of aftermarket kit did you put in? Did it come with a relay?

The kit is from retro-solutions. Did not come with a Relay wiring harness.

I had the same problem with my passenger side not wanting to turn on after lots of troubleshooting i came to discover that heat was killing the ballast and when it would get hot it wouldent want to ignite. I moved the mounting location of the ballast to a much better spot not surrounded by wires and other components and it fixed my problem. My 2 HID kits were purchased from Ebay and did not have a wire harness either you also need to check your connections to ensure they are tight these kits are really sensitive.
