Ya i saw the facebook post. I have the boost turned way down only at like 12psi i dont wanna break another sprag lol i'm so tired of my daily and i havent driven the turbo car in forever. Least for now i'll be taking nice and easy no 19psi pulls from a dig lol.

Also jeff makes way more hp than me but i woulda thought the sprag would have held up longer i know these are sorta a proto-type i bet once jeff makes all the adjustment he'll have the strongest sprag in the world haha.

Yea...Chris I will check your fluid levels to make sure its right...As for why it went we do not know. It held just fine then it let go mid pull. We are prob gonna pull it out again in a few and see if we can pull, rebuild, and reinstalll by tonight...Gonna be another busy day.

Went for the win and tested out a few 30psi pulls. It did not live long with the newly tweaked valve body. I set it to shift a lot harder than it used to with the new adjustments. I'm guessing the excessive shock is what killed the sprag.

Yea most likely...Plus that somewhat chewed up sun gear. Shorten the rod to the 2-3 accumulator that might help it a little or we can down it a notch and see whats up. I just need to get some tools ready then I be ova.

I don't know about you guys, but this guy (Jeff) is an inspiration, and should be to all of you. I don't think I would own a GS if it weren't for you, just wanted to say that.

^ You learn as you go. You're still young man.

I learned by taking things apart and DIYs. I'll probably never be as good as Jeff, though.

i see you pulled the trans...what gears are you using now since you did a rebuild? or did you just change the solenoid? if thats the case thats not a rebuild. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Nah, didn't replace the solenoids. There was nothing wrong with the solenoids. Had to tear it down and replace the 2nd brake intermediate sprag. It tends to explode under high stress. Also had to tweak the valve body, adjust line pressure, and tweak accumulator stops to modify the shifting firmness. On my last rebuild, I had to replace the 2nd gear and 3rd gear clutch packs. I think I have the trans dialed in pretty well now. I'm in Houston now and I've been making some hard pulls with no problems so far.
