Default Recommended oil for 2000 Lexus GS3

This "new to me" 2000 Lexus GS3 is about to reach 150K miles. What is the best oil to put in there for my next oil change?

Just be sure to use anything from 0W-30 to 5W-30.

I personally use Castrol 5W-30 non-synthetic.

Find out what was in there before. If synthetic, Mobile1 5w30.

If not, any 5w30 Dino oil will do.

What is the best for our engines? Although I read many reviews from other sites, I wonder if anyone ever checked what would be the best brand for the 2jz.

I've used 05W-40 Mobil 1 Fully Syn with ESP..for Mercedes-Benz..Last longer and quieter...It's a bit pricey but worth it..IMO...

What's the difference between synthetic vs regular oil in terms of goodness for the car? Please advise.
