Yeah looks like he drilled the little dimples that are on there.

To flush mount my Alpine 505 I too had to drill some new holes. Otherwise it would have stuck out. I think most of the double DIN decks will need some modification for flush mounting.

I flush mounted mine and it works great. Just be prepared to keep your wires clean and you have enough room to route it. Not too much room in the back once you slide it flush with the faceplate.
So simple yet so brilliant!

Most motorized 2DIN head units are not flush mount. I'm most likely going to pick up the AVN6620 from Eclipse, unless they come out with a new model soon. But with the idea of just drilling new holes it just opened up my options

Worked on my Headunit and Kit today. The JDM kit is a must for those who want to install a Double DIN HU.

Yes,

I installed my buddy's avn6620 and did a flush mount too. Same way as mine. Drilled at the dimple and used only 2 screws per side for mounting. It is strong enough and is a very simple mod.

Guys, I need to get info on matching the Climate Controls paint

I had one of the $3 air freshner leak oil onto the climate controls and the paint just bubbled off. Crazy!

What paint (this dark gray) can I use to touch up. I thought this might be the right thread since the first page says the guy was able to mach the AC controls color with the Black Double din Kit. but he dosn't recall what paint he used.

This is horrible. Worse case senario I'm going to have to find a used AC controls from the junk yard.

Again any help with how to match AC control color, paint numbers and paint used would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I guess I can stop by an autobody shop and ask if they can do anythign to mix up some matching touch up paint.

Looking for this color.

That sucks!! I'd maybe talk to a bodyshop like you said, hopefully they'd be able to come up with something. I like your sig. BTW, so true!

I finally got my HU in last weekend, flush mounted by drilling the dimples like others have done, came out looking great! Definitely the way to go.

If I can find the cable for my camera I'll get some up later. Is that the Pioneer AVH-4200 you've got? Looks like my 4200 but I couldn't make out the model number in your pics.

Here's a couple pics, I didn't clean anything up before these pics and still haven't settled on a color for the screen but I'm really liking this thing so far.

Here's one to show how the unit sits in the dash kit.

Couple more.
