Default Is Sportdesign = L-tuned???

Is the 'sportdesign' suspension & steering just factory installed L-tuned components (I asume the steering ECU and some or all parts of L-tuned suspension components)? ANd what reason on earth could Lexus possibly have for not offering the sportdesign package in the 430??????

I didn't think we allowed CL to be used for such a blatant sales pitch. Further, since the stock GS430 suspension is sort of floppy, I'd hate to think that that's what Lexus is pimping as a sport suspension for the GS3.

Hello, moderator??

Now I'm really confused - I thought the stock suspension was the same in the 300 and the 430. Can anyone clear this up?

there is no diffrence between the GS430 and the GS300's suspension, but there is a diffrence in the steering ECU, so I guess the only thing they added when it comes to suspension mods was the ECU

There is no difference in suspension between the 300 and 430. The Sport Design has Euro Sport-tuned suspension and steering ECU. I was told L-tuned, but I've also heard TTE. Either way, much tighter, but just as comfortable without the "bounce".

Also comes with brushed aluminum console, black walnut trim (vs. the brown wood trim) and perforated leather. Colors are silver, graphite grey (exclusive to the gs3 sport), and black.

stock gs3 and gs4 are the same suspension...

gs3 with spt pkg has l-tuned shocks only, NOT the lowering springs...and yes, they were installed at the factory as part of the sport design pkg...

why on the gs300 only?...simple...more gs300 were sold in the past..though for us car dudes..it would have made more sense if the 430 were also offered with sport pkg....

I figure since the GS300 model will be changing to the GS330 next model year the folks at Lexus gave it the Sport Design treatment.. So more than likely the GS430 will be getting this "Sportdesign" workover next year before the new GS450 I guess shows up.. Just my observation on the way Lexus does business..

are the L-tuned Shocks that different? Will they make much difference?

Question??? I have the SportDesign and I was going to change the Steering ECU... Since it already has an upgraded ECU does that mean I'd be wasting my money???? Oh, and if anyone wants to buy my "Euro Tuned" suspension let me know because I'm going to be getting in my Tein Flex coils............
