A/c Not Working Told Me One Of My A/c Lines Is Clogged Up???

Default A/c Not Working Told Me One Of My A/c Lines Is Clogged Up???

My A/c Does Hasnt Worked Since I Bought it When I Turn It On The Compressor Turns Off In About Three Seconds Took It To A Shop And Was Told One Of The Lines Is Cloged Up And Was Told I Have To Take The Hole Dashboard Off To Get To it And Unclog the pipe And Replace The A/c Expansion Valve??? Is It Hard To Take The Dashboard Off? Can i Do It Myself Or Let A Pro?

your compressor shouldnt turn off, if the line is clogged. but im not sure!

They told me it turns off because of the pressure so it wont get damaged?

why not just go and get a second opinion? you should not mess with the A/C system if you dont know what you are doing. freon inside the system should be handle according to the regulations. better leave this to the pro and shop around for a good shop.

UNLESS its setting off a pressure switch or a high pressure/low pressure cut off

thats why they there, stop using the a/c and take it to someone who knows how to do this and get a second opinion. go in blind though....dont tell them anything but your ac isnt working and see what they say and start from there. watch out for the "low freon" crooks....its rediculous what we sell freon for and what they charge you'll for it but keep in mind your paying for their expertise

def get a 2nd opinion.....and since i manage a HVAC supply house, to me, its not bout the freon being handled per regulations (im assuming your talking bout the eco part) i would be more concerned with hurting myself..... freon can seriously hurt you. have a customer who lost 4 fingers, another who lost a eye and burned his face badly those are the major 2 i can think of

OMG. You should give a safety class to all your customers. They are dropping like flies!

nah just a few and one was a freak accident and other was caused by a "helper" who was working with him......they actually still doing HVAC
