Talking Kudos to Autolamps-Online

Just installed my 9006 Ultinon HID conversion kit on my wife's GS300 and it's really is breathtaking. The kit installed in literally 20 minuntes. The light really does dwarfs my OEM GS430 HIDs. The color is a very intense blue/white. I actually just ordered the 6000K ultinon upgrage for my GS430 just a few min ago. This is really worth every penny for the visual enhancement. Thanks you Nick and Janet for all the help and info. Pictures to come soon.

it was $579 with 3 day express shipping included. These are much brighter and bluer than OEM HIDs. They run at a 6000K color temperature. That is not an indication of brightness though. Kelvin is a measure for color temperature. These lamps are 2900 lumens as far as brightness. For comparison, halogens are about 800 lumens at best. The reason why I chose these Ultinon lamps is because i didnt want to get a "colored bulb" look like other aftermarket bulbs or even hid kits. This gives of an OEM quality color with a tinge of blue. The ultinons are produced and rebased for the kits right in Germany. They have a burn life of about 3000 hours, which is a incredible life compared to the cheaper korean and taiwanese made kits which at best have only lasted 170 hours on independent test trials. The kit consists of all German made components. I did quite a bit of research as far as to what kit to buy. From all the info i've compiled from studies and personal experiences (my friends' hid kits) this was just the best choice. Dont be fooled by any other kits out there. I know there are a ton of them on ebay. Anyone claiming that they have a higher Kelvin color is pulling your leg. The salt crystals on the capsule of an HID lamp is crucial to life of the lamp. Philips have really found a great combination on the Ultinons for color and longevity.

This is probably a stupid question but this is just a straight bulb swap for us guys who have HID lights already, correct??

On the GS is it D2R and if so is it the same on the SC430 as well??

Manaray shoot me some info when you get the group buy price as I am interested if the price is right!

Thanks!

Ken

Ken,

for the gs with oem hid, all we need to do is the bulb change, we do not need the "kit" as ezlef did for his mrs' gs300...the d2r bulb sells for ~$145 each i think..hopefully manaray also works out a GP on the bulbs only...

sc430-check the head light cover, the GS says D2R

Thanks Will for the heads up.. Gonna go outside and check now.. I'm thinking off the top of my head its a projector type in the SC thou so that would lead me to think it isn't the D2R but the D2S but i'll go and confirm now if it shows..

Will looked for the longest time.. Took a flashlight out even to see if I see any markings but I couldn't find a thing.. Don't even have a clue how to get access to the bulb on the SC..

Think you can ask someone at your dealership if they know??

I'll bug the guys over where I bought mine at some point this week if you don't get an answer before I do.. Thanks!
