Can I run 245/40/18 tires on a stock ISx50 wheel that's only 8'' wide (18 x 8.0)?

definite yes as above, in fact the gs350 has 18x8s and and comes oem with 245 40 18s

I have the factory sc430 wheels and they are also 18x8 and have 245-40-18 on them stock.. so if I wanted somewhat of a stretch how would 225-40-18 look?? or the same??

IMO the stretch only looks good if you have a big-*** wheel with a lot of camber and your tire is tucked 50% or more and dont have the room for a correct size tire.
This is the look I had on my 240sx with a 18x9.5 and a 245 stretched on it because even with a rolled fender that was the biggest tire going to fit on it.

yea deff i have the isx50 wheels on my gs with a 245/40 on the front 8.0 and a 275/40 on the back 8.5 looks legit
