Hi since I bought the car it's always had this problem that has been increasingly worse. When I turn the key the car will crank but will not start and as this happens the security flashes repeatedly. I cannot start the car until I wait for the security light to stop blinking and shut off. This can take between 5 seconds or 10-15 minutes.

Sometimes when the light shuts off, I start the car normally but it immediately shuts off and the light starts blinking again. This problem has increasingly worse lately.

Keep in mind I don't have an aftermarket alarm, only factory. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You have the second key? Could possibly be the the chip only thing off the top of my head.

Do you have an aftermarket sound system? or was anyone messing with wiring? Because the same thing happened to my car when i had an aftermarket sound system installed.

*bump* no its not either one of those things... i need help because now the car wont start at all... it cranks forever and ever and thats it. Red security light slowly flashes the whole time. wtf

Thinking its a system malfunction... try disconnecting battery.

But now I want to sway away from that light blinking as it may have nothing to do with the problem and start thinking mechanical. check for spark and check for fuel pressure.
