removing trunk emblems

So what's the recommended procedure? I plan to do this weekend.
Is it dental floss pulled thru...followed by applying goo gone....then heat gun...then rewaxing?
Just looking for easy, effective shortcuts. THanks.

Are you 400 boy's saying we can't pull our weight? And no there are no holes to be worried about, ask your local car wash guys they remove most people emblem's all the time with there automatic wash madness, however they always have crazy glue handy for when someone starts complaining, about missing numbers/names

I just did mine an hour ago, fishing line to get them off, then just scraping the crap off with my finger, then goo gone, then wash the area so there is no left over goo gone. then wax if necessary, mine isnt bad at all, you can only see it if you are 1 inch away as well, and looking for it from a certain angle

On another note, I would NEVER use an automatic car wash, or any other wash that uses powered brushes. I use the brushless washes around here. While I don't like to use high pressure water, at least it's not as bad as those paint removing rotating brushes. There is a small, local detail shop that will wash my car for $12.00 they do it by hand and clean everything.

use paint thinner u b ok..jk..my boys always use fishing wire with some ky jelly sounds funny but it did the job lolll..(i personally never tried it. specially with ky jelly loll)

You'll be fine with a blow dryer and fishing wire, and some goo gone or some sort of adhesive remover. I did mine last summer I had the lexus and gs300 ghosted in on my black onyx so i just compound/polished it out and its not even visible anymore.

No holes behind anything.
Here is how I did mine.
I used a blow dryer and floss. Don't run the floss straight through... It breaks a lot that way. Use it in a sawing motion and move along slowly applying heat where needed. I then heated up the remaining adhesive and applied some adhesive remover. The heat helps it come off faster. Then rub with your thumb until it is all gone.

Thanks...took the emblems off with fishing line, goo gone, and a little rubbing alchohol. I still can't get rid of the ghosting....tried re waxing but I think I need to use a rubbing compound? Any suggestions?
