Yeah I was given the same price. You will have to go with aftemarket HID's.

OEM is about $1200 each headlight, plus install labor. Not worth it if you want the dealer to do everything for you and buy brand new OEM parts from the dealership. But if you do a little bit of work and find yourself a pair of OEM GS4x0 HIDs second-hand (off ebay or salvage yards), the pay off is well worth the efforts. I know someone that has OEM Lexus HIDs for $120 total, and it will kill any kit conversion on the road for five times less money.

I dont remember how much my dealer told me price would be however i remember someone on this board claimed that dealership is installing him his for $600 i was very surprised.. so i assume this is untrue..

i would also suggest you to get HID other then OEM, OEM only 4k, you can buy others with 6k,7k and 8k which is whole lot brighter

here is few pictures how my 8k HID looks like

this picture how they look on the wall around 11-12pm, after about 30-60min drive

Do you have daytime runners or are they wedge bulbs? If they are wedge bulbs you should change them.

Well,

when I first got my GS400

The first ones they made...
my motor went twice, then the bulb went.

My bills all were over $1,000

so I can tell you, it is VERY EXPENSIVE (and that is only one side)
