Unhappy White Smoke coming from under the hood!!! HELP!! 2001 GS300

Let me start by saying i have searched the forum and have not found anything about this topic.

I own a 2001 GS300

So im driving home from work and i stop at a gas station but as i pull into the parking lot my power steering failed and white smoke starting coming from under my hood. There was a tow truck at the gas station, the driver came over to check on everything and told me that he thought the car was on fire because of all of the smoke. I opened the hood and black oil was on top of my intake. WHAT THE $%^& does this mean??????

Sounds like you busted a line somewhere. Did you try to restart the car to see where it is comming from?

That does not sound good. I would guess a power steering line has ruptured and sprayed PS Fluid on your intake and exhaust causing the smoke. Have a Mechanic or other qualified person check it out.

Yes, sounds like something ruptured for sure and that's why you lost your PS.

Thank you for the quick responses. I do need a timing belt, could this be the problem??? I tried to start it but it will not start. When I turned on my car on the vsc light came as well as the vsc off and engine light came on as I driving home.

No matter what happend, I am going to have it transported to westside lexus as soon as possible!!!!!

did you turn your steering wheel to one side too much? if you held it too long to one side at the maximum, you could have blown something in the ps system

That sounds bad. P/S failed, but now car won't start? You drove it home, though. Did you not have any power steering all the way home?

-_- blown head gasket... Had it fixed shortly after it happened... Thanks for the help... Time to replace a front right speed sensor that a mechanic broke but won't take responsibility for breaking..... Should I pay for speed sensor or start a payment plan for school... Decisions decisions....
