larger pipes on catalyc= more air flow?
hi i was at a muffler shop today and they told me that if i change my catalyc with larger pipings, i'll be able to gain more power out of it because of more free flows. is that true????

For the most part yes, though you will lose some midrange due to the decreased back pressure. A 3" high flow cat is a pretty good way to go. However, beware that the state emissions may or may not like it and the potential buyers may be scared off.
It can also make the car much louder.

right now im designing a downpipe which may or may not include a sports cat... would you be interested if it gave you 10-15HP?
it would work best with those that havea cat-back exhaust system
