As you can tell, I have bedhead. A suspension component looked like it's the culprit, obviously. The new balljoints don't even have 25,000 miles on it yet. We shall see what the claims adjuster will say come Monday.

Lexondubs: I hope it gets totaled out, but I doubt it will. My friend already has first dibs on it if it gets totaled out, but I will keep you (and everyone else) updated.

The ball joint still looks intact. Looks like the 17mm holding the balljoint to the spindle came/broke off.

I guess you can never be too sure. I had my mechanic check mine out... he said they were strong... but who knows now. Did the new revision in 01 fix this?

Did you have other suspension problems prior to that? like Shaking or anything...

Damn thats F-cked up, glad to see your ok. You said the 17mm bolt snapped off rite? who was the last one to do your susspension work? obviously they probably over torqued that bolt .
